Description
BMX Kidz C64
BMX Kidz is a side-scrolling BMX racing game for the Commodore 64, released in 1987 by Firebird Software. Developed by Gigglywurx, the game is known for its fast-paced action and soundtrack by renowned C64 musician Rob Hubbard.
Gameplay features
- Racing: You race against five other BMX riders across six distinct tracks, all against a time limit.
- Stunts and energy: Performing stunts and wheelies is key to navigating the course and scoring points, but this drains your rider’s energy. You must collect soda cans to replenish it.
- Track obstacles: The tracks are filled with ramps and other hazards. Landing poorly after a jump can damage your bike, as shown by spokes flying off your wheels.
- Unique touches: The game includes satirical “yoof” humor of the era and features funny text and sound effects.
