Sony PSP E1003

The Sony PSP-E1003 commonly known as the PSP Street, is a budget-friendly and streamlined version of the PlayStation Portable handheld game console. It was released exclusively in PAL regions in October 2011. It lacks several features of its more premium predecessors, such as the PSP-3000, but offers the core PSP gaming experience. 
Features and specification the PSP-E1003 is recognizable by its matte black finish, different from the glossy texture of earlier PSP models. Key features and specifications include: 
  • Release: The PSP Street was announced at Gamescom 2011 and released in PAL territories on October 26, 2011. The PSP-

     model number was used in the UK.

  • Dimensions: Approximately 172.4 × 73.4 × 21.6 mm.
  • Weight: Approximately 223 g.
  • Display: A 4.3-inch (110 mm) TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels.
  • Processor: A MIPS R4000 CPU running at a reduced speed of 1/333 MHz.
  • Sound: Monaural speaker, a downgrade from the stereo speakers on previous models. A headphone jack is included for stereo audio.
  • Connectivity: USB 2.0 and a Memory Stick PRO Duo slot for removable storage. The E1003 lacks Wi-Fi capability.
  • Battery: Uses a non-removable, 3.6V DC battery.
  • Buttons: The console has a single-piece touch-sensitive bar for the “Home,” “Select,” and “Start” buttons.
  • Media: Like other PSP models, it uses Universal Media Discs (UMD) for games and movies

 

As the budget option in the PSP family, the E1003 made several compromises to achieve a lower price point: 
  • Reduced Connectivity: The most notable difference is the complete removal of Wi-Fi, making online multiplayer and downloading digital games directly to the device impossible.
  • Mono Sound: It was the only PSP model with a single mono speaker, though it retains a standard headphone jack for stereo sound.
  • Non-removable Battery: The battery is not easily swappable, a standard feature on other PSPs.
  • Region: The E1003 was only sold in PAL regions (e.g., Europe, Australia).
