SONY MZ-G755 Minidisc Player
The Sony MZ-G755 is a portable MiniDisc recorder and player from the brand’s Walkman product line. Released in May 2002, a distinguishing feature of the MZ-G755 is its integrated AM/FM radio tuner, located on the in-line remote control. As a legacy MiniDisc player, it is only available for purchase used from various online marketplaces.Â
Key features
- MDLP support: The MZ-G755 is capable of recording in MiniDisc Long Play (MDLP) modes LP2 and LP4, allowing you to store more music on a single disc. Using LP4, you can achieve over five hours of audio on one 80-minute MiniDisc.
- Integrated AM/FM tuner: Unlike many other portable MiniDisc players, this model has a built-in AM/FM radio tuner accessible via its remote control. It offers 40 pre-sets for storing your favourite stations.
- Recording capabilities: You can record from both digital and analogue sources, including a microphone or optical input. For recording from analogue sources like a home stereo system, a separate cable is required.
- G-Protection: Sony’s G-Protection technology provides 40 seconds of anti-skip buffer, helping to prevent interruptions while jogging or on the move.
- Digital Mega Bass: This feature boosts the bass for a more powerful low-end sound.
- Rechargeable battery and AC adapter: The unit includes a rechargeable nickel-cadmium battery and an AC adapter. The battery can be charged directly in the player.
- Editing functions: Built-in features allow for on-device editing, including track naming, moving, and erasing.Â
