Sonic The Hedgehog Master System
The Master System version of Sonic the Hedgehog is a distinct, 8-bit platforming game that was released in 1991, several months after the well-known 16-bit Sega Genesis/Mega Drive version. Instead of being a scaled-down port, this version was developed from scratch by Ancient and offers a different gameplay experience, level design, and soundtrack.
Differences from the Genesis version
The Master System version of Sonic the Hedgehog provides a unique experience that emphasizes more deliberate platforming over pure speed.
