F1 2009 for PSP provides a comprehensive Formula 1 experience, allowing players to compete as their favourite drivers on all the circuits of the 2009 season. It introduced features like KERS and aerodynamic regulations that were new to the sport at the time. The game offers various modes, from quick races to a full Grand Prix weekend or a multi-season career. While it was well-received by some for its depth and authenticity, particularly compared to previous F1 titles on handheld devices, others found the graphics and gameplay to be a step back compared to earlier F1 games like F1 2006. The game’s control scheme was also a point of concern for some players.

Another great retro game available at Escapist Gamer – Formula One 2006 (PSP)
