Tiger Road C64
Tiger Road is a side-scrolling hack-and-slash platform game released for the Commodore 64 in 1988. Developed by Probe Software and published by GO! (a label of U.S. Gold) in Europe, it is a home conversion of Capcom’s popular 1987 arcade hit.
Gameplay & Plot
- The Mission: You control the martial arts master Lee Wong (named Ho Tao in some versions). You must journey through multiple stages to rescue kidnapped village children from the evil ruler, Ryo Ken Oh.
- Combat: The protagonist fights through hordes of enemies using an axe or upgraded weapons found in magical urns.
- Levels: The layout covers distinct stages ranging from city rooftops and oriental temples to treacherous ice caves.
- Structure: Levels scroll horizontally but feature verticality with ledges, high platforms, and stairs. Each level ends with a demanding boss fight.
- Bonus Challenges: Between stages, players can complete master trials to unlock character upgrades and performance bonuses.
