Samba De Amigo Wii
The 2008 rhythm music game Samba de Amigo for the Nintendo Wii adapts the arcade and Dreamcast classic for the motion controls of the Wii. Players use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, or two Wii Remotes, like maracas to shake along with the beat of Latin-inspired music.
Gameplay and controls
The core gameplay of Samba de Amigo on the Wii revolves around motion controls and rhythm.
- Motion controls: The Wii remote and Nunchuk are used as virtual maracas. Players shake the controllers at different heights—high, middle, or low—in time with visual cues on the screen.
- Hustle mode: A new mode for the Wii version requires players to strike special dance poses for extra points.
- Multiplayer: The game includes various multiplayer options, including a head-to-head battle mode and a “Love Love” compatibility test mode.
- Customization: You can play as the main character, Amigo the monkey, or use your own Mii character. Your Mii’s facial expression changes based on your performance.
